At Threads of Hope Cairo, we believe in the power of self-employment to transform lives. Our dedicated team is committed to equipping underprivileged women with the skills sets they need to become self-reliant and self-empowered. Through our comprehensive training programs, we empower these resilient individuals to not only develop valuable luxury handcraft skills but also cultivate the confidence and knowledge necessary
to build a sustainable future where self-employment is a path to independence and success.
Every two months a cohort of 45 women is trained by 5 professionals in one of the 5 techniques available. Training takes place in Downtown Cairo, where the center provides transport and a daily meal for the women and their children.Thus, emphasizing the importance of creating a safe environment.
Upon completion of the training the women work from home, producing high quality embroidered goods for Malaika and other clients.
Each participant receives individualized support and mentorship to help them overcome personal barriers, build confidence, and develop their unique talents. The training program can include personalized coaching, goal-setting, and regular feedback on their progress
It's crucial to address the holistic well-being of the participants. The training program incorporate Life Skills and Well-Being: training, including communication skills, problem-solving, resilience building, and self-care. Workshops on mental health, stress management, and emotional well-being are also available to support the overall growth and resilience of the participants.
